Where is the most interesting place you have ever been?

After college I volunteered as a Peace Corps Volunteer, posted in a small village called Diboungi in Gabon, Africa. My “job” was as a math teacher however soon upon arriving I learned that my role was that of a member of the community - cooking, gathering food, and water, supporting children and the elder people of the village. This village survived on the power of the community not the individual. It was a subtle but profound learning that I brought home with me, the power of a community to withstand and excel. This is the same potential I see in the Calvert Foundation Community Investment Note to aggregate individual capital and reach underserved communities and transform lives.

What is your favorite movie?

James Bond 007, my husband introduced me to the excitement of a 007 movie. We love to watch them together.
