Individual BiosKathy Rock, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial OfficerKathy Rock will be joining us in March as our new Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Kathy will be responsible for managing multiple teams including Portfolio Credit Risk Management, Enterprise Risk, and Compliance. She will serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and as the Chief Compliance Officer for Calvert Foundation’s wholly owned subsidiary, Community Investment Partners (CIP), which is an SEC-registered investment advisor. Kathy will have responsibility for due diligence, risk management, and underwriting of the investment portfolios for Calvert Foundation and its CIP clients. At Freddie Mac, Kathy was responsible for the overall identification, measurement, and management of corporate-wide counterparty credit risk exposures. This included single family, capital markets, and multifamily counterparties. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Kathy was Senior Vice President of Loss Mitigation/Europe with Genworth Financial Corporation. She also served as the chief financial officer of Genworth’s Europe and Canada division, where she led activities, including tax, treasury, capital management, accounting, reporting, and financial planning and analysis. Before joining Genworth, Kathy was Fannie Mae’s vice president of Operational Risk Oversight and Corporate Governance, where she was responsible for overseeing operational risk management and SOX 404 compliance. Kathy also served as Fannie Mae’s vice president of Counterparty Risk Management, where she led activities to monitor and manage counterparty credit exposure on an enterprise-wide basis. Prior to Fannie Mae, Kathy was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Mercy Housing, Inc., where she oversaw the financial activities for a national, not-for-profit owner and manager of affordable housing. In addition, Kathy was Comptroller of Housing and Federal Housing Administration for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she facilitated financial and portfolio management activities for the federal mortgage guarantee program with a $420 billion portfolio. Kathy was also Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for GE Mortgage Insurance Companies; Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis for GE Mortgage Corporation; Corporate Auditor for GE Company; and a Financial Analyst for GE Mortgage Securities Corporation.
