Through the Calvert Giving Fund, investors have a range of socially-reponsible investment options. Your client can invest their gift for social impact and financial return all in one place.

Investments That Double Your Social Impact

While your clients' funds await grantmaking, they are invested for financial gain and for social impact in your choice of over 15 investment options.  Calvert Group’s socially responsible mutual funds invest in companies with positive track records in environment, employment, product safety, human rights, and other important social issues. Calvert Group has been a leader in the socially responsible investment field for 25 years and is the largest family of socially responsible mutual funds.

Through Calvert Foundation’s Community Investment Note, the investments will be hard at work in communities, building affordable housing, creating jobs and small businesses, and helping people in developing countries start microenterprises to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

Calvert Giving Fund assets can be invested in one of four ways:

If a Donor Advisor does not recommend an investment allocation, contributions will be invested in the Standard Allocation.  You may reallocate your assets up to four times per year.

1) Standard Allocation
The Standard Allocation is intended to offer a balance of high social and community impact, appreciation potential, and short-term stability for funds – protecting Giving Funds from unwanted volatility associated with investment in the stock market. It consists of the following Pools:
25% Community Investment Note
50% Calvert Social Investment Fund Money Market Portfolio
25% Calvert Social Investment Fund Bond Portfolio

2) Balanced Allocation
The Balanced Allocation is offered for Giving Funds considering longer-term grant making horizons, seeking potentially higher appreciation and willing to be exposed to the risks and volatility associated with some equity investment. It consists of the following Pools:
25% Community Investment Note
10% Calvert Social Investment Fund Money Market Portfolio
15% Calvert Social Investment Fund Bond Portfolio
35% Calvert Social Investment Fund Enhanced Equity Portfolio
15% Calvert Capital Accumulation Fund

3) Customized Allocation
This option allows you to retain the greatest amount of autonomy and flexibility by allowing you to customize your own allocation by choosing any combination of 15 Calvert Mutual Funds and the Calvert Foundation Community Investment Note.  Click on any of the options below to learn more:

4) Customized Portfolio
