cambodia_woman2Microfinance at Work

Yim Kimhorn, 43, had only an elementary school education and one family loom when she received her first loan from microfinance organization PRASAC (a Calvert Foundation borrower) in Cambodia. Now, her family works on four looms and is able to make a profit selling scarves at the village market. “My life has improved,” she said. “I have enough food. I have enough capital. In the future, I want my children to buy stores, and have a better life than I’ve had.”
